Rwanda Cooperation Participates in Rwanda Day
Rwanda Cooperation Initiative (RCI) participates in Rwanda Day in Washington DC, United States of America, 2nd-3rd February 2024.
RCI’s participation is guided by three objectives: to raise awareness of Rwanda’s transformation journey through Home Grown Solutions (HGS); to raise RCI’s visibility by leveraging Rwanda Day strategic platform and to create opportunity for future partnership. RCI’s objectives are consistent with Rwanda Day guiding theme: “A legacy of inclusiveness within and beyond our Borders. “ RCI Strategic Plan (2022-2024) steers South-South and Triangular Cooperation by sharing Rwanda’s HGS and good practices with different stakeholders in Global South and beyond.
Rwanda Cooperation
Connecting Leaders & Promoting Cooperation
Rwanda Cooperation was established by the Government of Rwanda in 2018 to promote & share innovative development initiatives through South-South & Triangular Cooperation.
We work with government agencies, development partners & civil society organisations to promote knowledge-exchange & mutual growth.
We advocate for & share innovative development initiatives through South-South & triangular cooperation.
Why Rwanda?
Powered by a shared vision, Rwandans are building a prosperous future for the country. By placing their trust in cultural heritage & tradition & crafting new initiatives informed by history & values, the country has created a new kind of blueprint for development.
Rwanda has also fostered global partnerships & implemented a continuous learning approach, tailoring international good practices to the country’s own needs & context, borrowing & adapting initiatives to meet the challenges faced.
This progressive approach to policy creation has put Rwanda on a unique development pathway & it's implementation has led to significant progress in areas such as government efficiency, economic & digital transformation & gender equality.
“South-to-South cooperation can mean different things. But in our context, it should be about changing the narrative that developing countries cannot be part of global solutions, for ourselves & the whole world. Beyond science & technology, we have a lot to offer the world, including in the fields of energy, agriculture, & peace & security. This wealth of knowledge & expertise, we also need to share among ourselves.”
Paul Kagame
President of the Republic of Rwanda
